Story behind China House

"China House" is the concept of Chinese artist Zhang Lianzhi. He has built two such houses in Tianjing, using vases and statues of Buddha to decorate them. The people of Tianjin are very proud of his work and rumour has it that Bill Gates (of Microsoft) has offered millions for the houses, but Zhang refuses to sell.

An incredible house made of porcelain vases!

China house was built by Chinese collector Zhang Lianzhi and took over ten years to finish. Zhang had been collecting material for the past twenty years. The house decorated was originally a French style villa located in Chifeng Street, Heping district. Currently the house is valued at 500 million Yuan which is equivalent to approximately US$65 million dollars.
